As a matter of principle, Canada does not push those accused of sex crimes to the limelight: Here, the sex offender registry is open to police force, as opposed to the public that is general. Police do not usually release names of suspected crooks until they may be really charged. Even in the event an accused criminal is convicted, documents are notoriously hard to locate in certain provinces. (more…)
